Two regional Trains in Switzerland derailed In separate incidents, more than a dozen people were injured Friday after a storm brought high winds and heavy rain to the small Alpine country, police said.

Police said the two incidents took place in Luchers and Born zum Hof, near the western city of Bern.

In Born zum Hof, a police spokeswoman said 12 people – 9 adults and 3 children – were injured. Among them, someone’s injuries were serious.

The police also said that several people were Injured in a derailment in Lüscherz, but no additional information was immediately available on the number of injured people and the severity of their condition.

The transit agencies in charge of the trains, Aare Seeland Mobil and Regional Transit Bern-Solothurn, too confirmed deviations on their websites. They noted that the affected railway lines were closed in response.
