It is often April Fool’s Day Around the time of Easter. Rent an Easter bunny costume for a friend or family member to wear for an early visit.
Prepare Easter eggs filled with candy, money, etc., and place them in the front yard.
Pretend it’s Easter and the bunny himself has come to join in the holiday fun. Who doesn’t love a pre-Easter party?
2. Breakfast color for a tantalizing morning meal
A little food coloring goes a long way for a fun April Fools’ Day joke. The options here are endless. Dye pancakes, waffles, or cream cheese with food colouring. Divide the mixture to get as many colors as you want.
And there’s always the classic green eggs and ham.
3. Dye the milk blue
Blue milk is another very easy April Fools’ Day prank that can be achieved using food coloring.
Add food coloring to a cup of milk for the kids to drink or dye the milk in their cereal.
4. Try a toilet paper surprise
Take the toilet paper from your bathroom and open it up a bit. Write “APRIL FOOLS” in big letters across the paper so the kids will see your letter when you roll it down.
If you want to take it to the next level, there is no “ripped” toilet paper sold on Amazon, which could be a funny prank to play on your older kids. Be prepared for them to ask you for another roll, though.
5. Swap out the cereal
Take a packet of sugary cereal of your choice and replace the bag with a healthy breakfast cereal. When your kids go pour some Lucky Charms, they’ll be met by Cheerios instead.
6. Add googly eyes to the fruit
This works best for larger fruits like apples and oranges. Collect some fruit and stick to the googly eyes. When your children open the refrigerator, they will meet the fruit with a face. If you really want to get into the silly faces, stick to the floss instead of a smile or a hair.
7. Place the fake bugs where kids will notice them
The spooky crawling all over the place is sure to make kids jump around a bit. Put them on the table, on the arm of the sofa, or anywhere else they might notice. Make sure to choose clear plastic so they know they’re not real.
8. Use jelly as a juice joke
If you fill out a file cup with jello It looks very similar to a juice cup.
Make jello and add it to one of the kids’ cups. Drop a straw into the jelly before it hardens.
When your kids go to take a sip, they’ll be met by a solid smoothie. The best part about this part is that they have fun with cute candy – so you don’t have to feel guilty about the prank.
9. Use bubble wrap, bubble wrap and more bubble wrap
Hide some bubbles wrapped around the house under the rugs for the kids to walk on. Watch them dance around the carpet once they realize there is bubble wrap to pop and play with. Win, win!
10. Tell the children, “I caught Mickey Mouse!”
This falls into the classic prank category along with whoopie pillows and filling your salt shaker with sugar, but it’s still pretty good nonetheless.
Suppose you have a mouse stuck under a bowl. You will have to expand your acting skills for this one and really pretend there is a mouse moving around underneath it.
When you lift the bowl, your child will not be met with a real mouse but a Mickey Mouse game.
This prank will make your child totally relaxed.
Give him or her a new toy and all will be well.
