Dr. Tomasz Roman Kosowski, 44, was arrested and charged of murder in the first degree in the murder of Stephen Causey, who disappeared from his law firm on Tuesday.
Police were called to the scene and found that he had left his wallet, car keys, and cell phone behind, but he was never seen physically exiting the building. A “strong chemical odor” was detected in the men’s bathroom, where investigators found a large amount of blood after forensic analysis.

The investigators are linked Kosowski is found as a suspect while searching for a suspicious person who was seen in the office at the same time as Cozzi’s disappearance. Kousey represented Kosowski’s former employer and colleagues at the Louvre Institute of Plastic Surgery, where he worked from 2016 to 2018 as a plastic surgeon performing breast reconstruction surgery, according to the Associated Press.
Kosowski sued the Laufer Institute of Plastic Surgery upon his departure in 2018, alleging that another employee had failed to file insurance claims for his patients, hurting him. The Louvre Institute of Plastic Surgery did not respond to a request for comment on Sunday.
Kosofsky was booked into the Pinellas County Jail in the early hours of Sunday morning and is being held without bail. Court and prison records did not list a lawyer who could speak for him.
