“House Republicans’ proposals from MAGA would cut funding for Border Security – a move that could allow nearly 900 pounds of fentanyl into our Country,” the president wrote in a tweet. “We need more resources Border Securing. not less.”

Biden’s tweet included a photo of him shaking hands with a US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer, taken from his first and only trip to the border in El Paso, Texas, in January. Images taken by Getty showed Biden speaking briefly with Customs and Border Protection officers seated inside a mobile X-ray truck at the Bridge of the Americas border crossing.
