The two police officers who shot and killed the suspect in the Al-Ahed school shooting in Nashville On Monday determined.

Nashville Metropolitan Police Chief John Drake said Officer Rex Engelbert and Officer Michael Collazo shot and “mortally wounded” 28-year-old Audrey Elizabeth Hill, killing six victims, including three children.

Officer Engelbert is a four-year MNPD veteran and Officer Collazo is a nine-year MNPD veteran.

According to the police chief, Hill shot officers arriving at the scene through windows on the second floor before sweeping through the building and finding her in a common room.

The first call to 911 about the shooting in the building came at 10:13 a.m. from officers. rushed to the campus, I entered, and began clearing the building. Shots were heard from the second level. On the second floor, in a common area, a team of officers confronted Hill shooting (she was shooting through a window at arriving police cars). Two of the officers’ team shot and mortally wounded Hill.”

Responding officers were on the scene and neutralized the shooter within 15 minutes of the shooting by Hill.

The victims have been identified as Evelyn Dickhouse, William Kenny and Haley Scruggs, all aged nine, as well as Mike Hill, 61, Cynthia Beck, 61, and Catherine Consey, 60.

According to police, Hill, who has attended the school for years, arrived on campus in a Honda Fit and was heavily armed with three rifles. Two AR weapons and a pistol are included.

Surveillance video released by the MNPD showed Hale shooting her way into the church/school through a set of glass doors at a side entrance to the building.

The MNPD also found writings belonging to Hale in a nearby car which revealed that her attack was “calculated and planned”.

Police said other evidence, including a sawn-off shotgun and a second rifle, was confiscated when officers executed a search warrant at the Hills-Brightwood Avenue home.

The shooting is still under investigation and is being led by several elements of the National Police Movement, with assistance from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Federal Bureau of Investigation , ATF and Tennessee Highway Patrol.
