University of Calgary Graduate Scholarships and Awards for International Students

The University of Calgary Graduate Scholarship is open to international students as soon as they are eligible to apply for these awards under the auspices of the scholarship.

International graduate students from different regions or countries regardless of tribe, race or continent are eligible to associate with various scholarships controlled by the University of Calgary Scholarships Office.

These scholarships are competitive and dependent on the applicant’s educational and school achievement as well as other criteria. It is very important to read full details about eligibility requirements and follow educational application for any award you are applying for.

The main points of the scholarship

Here are the main highlights of the Calgary Awards and Scholarships:

1. International students can apply for this scholarship after final submission of their admission application form and obtaining a University of Calgary student number.

2. Students are not automatically eligible for graduate scholarships or awards. In the meantime, they must follow the scholarship application procedure very well.

3. The value of the Calgary Scholarship varies from $1,000 to $40,000 and covers different fields of study.

This award is open to students undertaking research in the field of Genomics, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Metabolomics, Nanotechnology, Proteomics, Regulomics, and Transcriptomics.

Alber Innovates Award Value: The value of the award is $26,500 for a master’s program (up to 2 years) plus $31,500 for a doctoral program (up to 4 years).

Alumni Award Competition

The Graduate Award Competition Scholarships are also open to international students who are in pursuit of an award. Their offer is worth up to $36,000. They are awarded through the annual Alumni Award competition:

Grants Award

To be eligible for the award, a student must have scholastic achievement of first class average. They must submit bids to the university issuing transcripts in the previous two years of study or their full-time equivalent. Only one application must be submitted by each student. They will announce successful applicants between April and June for various awards and scholarships.
